Stories from Cash First Aberdeen is a powerful collection of personal accounts showcasing the impact of the Cash First Flexible Crisis Fund.

Since November 2024, Cash First Aberdeen has supported over 100 individuals in the city through the Flexible Crisis Fund.

Stories from Cash First Aberdeen brings some of these individual's voices to the forefront, sharing the challenges they have experienced and the impact that direct, flexible financial support has had on their personal circumstances.

Through a series of personal accounts, shared with consent and dignity, these stories illustrate how cash payments and wrap-around support can provide a sense of relief, restore some control and offer real pathways out of crisis.

Hear from Robert, Jack, Freddie, Lukasz and Ryan as they openly reflect on their hardships including personal loss of loved ones, severe debt, mental health struggles and homelessness. With the support from Cash First Aberdeen, discover how they have been able to take important steps forward - whether that’s through starting a new career, covering essential costs, or no longer relying on food banks.
